Concrete cracks can be controlled of proper measures are taken in its mixture and installation. A crack that grows 2 inches in 4 days is not a normal crack. In order to evaluate it, it woould have to be seen.
As L.W. has asked, is it a basement floor, a garage floor, or an outside slab? How big is the slab? Where is the crack, and how long is it? Is the slab level from side to side of the crack? Or has there been vertical movement also? How old is the slab?
Those are the elements a professional would look for in attempting to determine a cause.
