We recently bought a 30 year old home. it is built on a slab. i was wondering how difficult it would be to run water lines to another part of the home. we are wanting to add a laundry room. Any suggestions or ideas?
Water lines are under pressure, so they can go up and over and make all kinds of turns. The problem may come in trying to pipe the washing machine standpipe...it drains by gravity and you'll have to get to a waste line somewhere, and it will probably have to be vented through the roof as well.

We did some extensive remodeling on our house before we moved in, including rerouting the water lines for a new laundry, and creating a new master bath at the other end of the house. RH is correct about routing water lines overhead; our contractor did just that and the only thing we've had to do over the years is make sure they're still adequately insulated.
The DWV lines were another issue. The GC had to cut the concrete slab to install some of these. The others he was able to route through interior/exterior walls and through a chase under an existing patio floor. We've had zero problems with any of his work over the last 12 years.
