I started digging out my basement about 2 mos ago. I have sump pump in the corner of the basement. The old floor never had drainage tile, a vapor barrier, or stones. It was an enven pour as well. I would like to put all the latter in but am not sure how I run the drainage tile? I dug down about a foot and am about half way through in the digging process. Can anyone help me on the drainage tile? How should I run it? 6 inches off the footings all the way around? Any help would be appreciated..............Thanx

What problem would the drainage system be a solution for?
