Hi,

I'm thinking of installing a false wall over an existing exterior basement wall. I'm building a home thatre room and want space o hide cables, etc. The existing wall is gyproc over vapour barrier, styrofoam and strapping. The floor is also insulated with plywood, styrofoam and stringers.

Should I be doing anything special with the false wall? Insulation, vapour barrier? Should I install directly onto the concrete floor, or is on top of sub floor OK?

Any comments will be appreciated! Thanks!
