Live in Sacramento CA in 1928 California Bungalow, 954 sqft, floating floor, no basement. Foundation seems off in certain areas: 1) front porch folds slightly toward middle, then back toward front door; 2) Western half of porch railing is at least 1 foot higher than the eastern half. 3) house has seemed to settle towards the center point. Is leveling necessary before bathroom and/or kitchen is remodeled? If so, how much would it cost approximately?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

An impossible question to answer without seeing the actual conditions. A FOOT of difference is extreme! The right way to proceed is to determine the cause of the settling, and whether it is still taking place, before proceeding. If the cause can be determined and cured, then you can think about leveling the house and remodeling your kitchen.
