Does anyone have advice on whether to remove an interior drain tile system? We had one installed that has caused problems we never had such as what appear to be damp spots on the new concrete floor poured by the company and some other issues that have led to mold, we needed to remediate. We want to demand our money back, but, in the alternative are thinking of inviting them to remove the system. Any thoughts? Any thoughts on resolving the damp spots on the floor?

My first thought is that I'm very sorry to hear of your problems, and hope you can get them resolved.

To properly diagnose the causes of your damp spots and mold issues, a lot more information and probably an on-site examination would be necessary. It would be good to know the pattern of the wet spots, and when they appear, but most of all, it would be vital to know the reason why water is entering your basement!! If you have been reading this forum, you will know that was Step #1, which many "water-diverting" and "disposable-income-diverting" "experts" fail to take before pushing their "one-size-fits-all" solution.
