My son enjoyed learning to oil paint. However, he preferred large canvases. I was wondering if there might be a way to finish these abandoned creations, many of which have large sections of virgin canvas. Specifically, can I apply acrylic or latex paint over this to give a design element, (on canvas), to a room? Or would fabric work-if so, how would I apply it?
Thank you.

They might be fine as design elements the way they are, or you could continue with oil paints. If you won't be painting over the oils, then acrylics would also be OK.
