with inside paint? It is not exposed to the elements other than to the sun thru the glass storm door.

I re-painted my livingroom and have nothing to paint with the previous color. Since the brick on the fireplace wall is the same color as the brick outside, I thought the front door might look good in that color.

THANKS,
Rita

I think you might find that most interior paints are not very UV resistant and will fade quicker than paints formulated for exterior use.

THANKS, Maintenance 6. I'm thinking what I might do is paint it with the interior paint (I really don't have anything else to do with it) and if I REALLY like the color with the brick, maybe I'll get some exterior paint and paint it next time with that....would there be a problem with doing that??...putting exterior over interior???

Probably not, but then I don't know what the door is made of. If it's a steel door, I would not use a latex paint on it. And be sure to prep the door well, clean and sand. Otherwise you can expect the latex paint to peel off in shards.
