What kind of paint and supplies should I get to paint my brick home? I know that I need to power wash it well, but I'm unsure of what kind of primer and paint I need. Thank you!

Why would you want to paint your brick home? Is it already painted? Brick needs to breath. If it does not breathe moisture gets trapped behind the brick and can cause spalling of the brick, and possible mold issues behind it.

However if its already painted or you insist on painting it anyway, You need to properly prep and then paint using proper materials.

Power wash the home. Be sure that any loose cement between the bricks is repaired. You may find near the ground or interior floor levels outside small holes or missing cement between some bricks. Do not fill these holes. They are there to allow water that gets behind the bricks a way out. You may also see these holes below any windows or other openings on the wall.

Once the brick is clean you can paint it using a good quality moisture permeable paint. That is a paint that allows moisture to penetrate through. Not all exterior paints for homes allow this to happen. So be sure you get the right stuff. Once you have selected this paint, the supplier will provide you with the proper primer to use that works with it.

Think twice about painting if it has not been painted. Once you do this, you cannot go back.

Home club is 100% on this one. Once it's painted and it starts to peel (and it will) it's a lot of work to get off all the paint and start over again.

Where all stupid, just in different subjects.
