We're currently redesigning our house, it's a townhouse with a large back living area fully glazed and looking out on to a small courtyard that doubles as a car parking space. The "garage door" area is what the glazed back living area looks out on to - actually, the back of the garage door to be precise.
We need to install a garage door that looks good from the inside.
The door will be mounted in the boundary garden wall and hence cannot be a tilting door because it will protrude out on to the footpath when opening. The door also can't be a conventional panel door because there is no roof for mounting tracks for the door to slide in to when open.
Does anyone have any other ideas or contacts that could help. I really would like this door to be something that can be used as a feature rather than something that we have to try to hide away, although concealing the door with screens or planters when the space is not used for car parking is definitely an option (and the space will rarely be used for car parking).
Thanks!
