Hi Toni,

Could you post a pic of your kitchen so I can see it?

Hi Toni,
Is there any other dark furnishings or trim in the room or in a room that is open to the kitchen. If so, it might be best to leave the dark cabinets to balance and blend with the rest of the house. If you keep them, you could add new hardware to spruce them up or take out the center panels of a couple of the wall cabinets and replace them with something interesting, glass, tin punch, fabric, whatever goes with your decor, or even paint some of the center panels only. Bring in the white or the apple green. Next question is what about your countertops? Sometimes just updating the countertops helps the entire look and feel.

I was thinking like Christy. If you have dark furniture... elsewhere, the dark cabinets will ballance. If you don't, add some! Just one or two dark pieces...ie. a small table, a chair or 2, picture frames, a wooden bowl or 2... If the cabinets are pretty & you like them, I'd hate to see you paint them. I've had cheap painted cabinets in so many of my houses, I just hate to see any get painted unnecessarily.
