i think i put this in the wrong board category !

Hi ! We just bought a great new house - one of our favorite features is a center room, a den of sorts, that has dark floor to ceiling (10 ft ceiling)paneling. The room has one light source of French doors and 3 other openings to addition rooms/hallways. The carpet is off white and new. We have some huge golden yellow art that sets off the wood tones as well.

We love the warm, cozy feel of the room, yet now we can really see how mismatched our furniture is! We had a moss green couch with wood end tables, coffee tablle , etc.

We are OK with moving that furniture out, and starting fresh, but what goes with wood - most expecially for the tables and tv stands... we do not love glass or ulra modern lines, so we are stuck. Black? Iron? More wood?

Anyone have any thoughts? We want warm, cozy and colorful.
