My father was a custom cabinet maker so I grew up in the business. I have been designing kitchens and baths myself for over 15 years. My dad is amazed at how the use of CAD programs and virtual reality have changed the industry. Its so much easier and quicker to draw up plans and show perspectives and elevations to the client. There have been so many improvements in cabinet manufacturing, from the construction to the finishing process and more so the options. you can make your kitchen look custom on a tight budget by ordering an economical cabinet and stacking moldings or staggering heights for only a few examples. On the other hand you can take a full custom high end cabinet and if its not installed properly, your kitchen will look like youve scrimped. Installation can make or break your design.......well I could go on and on LOL I have so many thoughts about kitchen and bath cabinetry!
