Does anyone know where I could find a good contractor in the Dallas area? I am wanting to add a second story to my house.

Hi! We have a 1900 sq.ft. home in Aiken, SC that we are wanting to add a second story to. We also want to add over the existing garage which would put the second story at approx. 2500 sq.ft.. I'm worried about pricing ourselves out of the neighborhood. What kind of cost are we looking at for that large of an addition. I'm also trying to convince my husband that making the entryway open all the way up to the second story would look great, but he thinks that it would be weird if only the entryway ceiling were that high...any opinions?

Thanks

Alisa
