First find a builder with underground home construction experience. I have 200 hundred some layout plans, but is essence any plans will work with the right builder. Issues like waterproofing, forming, design, structural methods, structural engineers selection, wiring conduit installation, heating ventilation and cooling, and window installation and design for active or passive solar heating ( two separate and distinct design issues) are all issues that must be addressed. When you get to the insulation issues this is a highly complex issues that should be done by an engineer, not the salesman at speedy foam. First find a builder, in your area, with concrete forming experience and ask who has done underground houses in that area. Pick his brain and go see the houses, talk to the owner, they will gladly share their experiences. OurMissionConst@aol.com
