I was just wondering how I can tell what kind of grass I have. To me, grass is grass, but I know that caring for the grass can vary based on the grass type. Thanks for any help.

Contact your local county ag department. They often have handouts that will tell you all about your lawn and how to properly care for it. In our area the college will even test the soil for us to tell us what its lacking.

This is a little tedious, but is kind of fun and appears to be accurate, at least with the couple of samples I tried. It is helpful to have a sample sprig in hand when answering the questions.
