I need to support one end of a 22' long header. I have 8' ceilings and the far end is ok as it runs into the supporting wall, but the other end needs a new vertical support. I can only get a few inches of support under the header. Any suggestions on what materials/products I should use?

Not nearly enough onformation to enable an answer. have a design professional look at the whole picture on site and then have him or her answer your question.
