I love your dream homes, but I have to question why you create something that is SO expensive that the average person would not be able to afford it after they won it.
Just my opinion.....I personally love to see what's out there, whether I can afford it or not. The winner could always sell it, having enough money to rebuild a home more suitable to their taste, in their own location. I wonder about houses built on Extreme Home Makeover too. Beautiful, but like on sunday's show, the mom is in a wheelchair and she has stainless steel appliances. Mine are SS too and are in constant need of cleaing fingerprints. How can an invalid take care of SS? The house was beautiful, but sometimes I think it's too big to take care of. Oh, well, the life we live...

flowergirlcfc, the same thought crossed my mind. Don't you have to pay the taxes on it BEFORE you take possession? I suppose it would be less of a big deal, get less promotional value from it, if it was a median priced home.

I sooooo would LOVE to "be-able" to have a home like the one being givin' away especially in Florida...I'd get to see my daughter more often! But mostly, to get out of Michigan, & have a better opportunity to find work! My concern also was about taxes & insurance on a home "like that" in that location, with hurricains & all???? any comments?
