I have an enclosed patio with ceiling insulation. Had a cedar plank that was used to cook seafood on, that was left close to an opened screen door. When it gets warm or hot outside, the odor of burnt wood permeates and becomes obvious. Tried airing, spraying etc without luck. Your opinion is appreciated. Thanks.
If the insulation was exposed to the smoke from the plank, the odor is in the insulation. You will need to remove and replace the insulation. If the inside is finished and cleaning did not remove the smoke odor, then replacement of the exposed materials is the only other option.
