We have bought a brand new home. We were surpised to find the builders nstalled 'wooden' Anderson windows. In our other house, we had vinyl replacement windows. Are the wooden windows as energy efficient as the vinyl replacement windows?

Bes,

Your question is especially interesting because most folks ask if their replacement vinyl windows will be as efficient as their original wood windows!

The answer may be yes or no depending on the construction / manufacturer of the vinyl replacements in your last home.

Wood and vinyl (as materials) are very similar in energy performance, so the answer may be yes or no depending on the construction / manufacturer of the vinyl replacements in your last home.
