I would like to plant some shrubs which should grow about 8' tall and 5' wide. However there is a pvc pipe which connects the water outlets in my yard running about a foot underground in the vicinity where I want to plant these shrubs. I am worried that the root system might interfere with the pvc pipe, eventually. Is the pvc pipe stong enough to withstand a large root system? Please advise.
