I'm hoping someone will have some ideas on how to keep the chill out of my kitchen this winter. We installed a down vent stove a few years ago... and in the winter the floor around the stove ... and the stove surface are almost as cold as the great outdoors. Short of disconnecting the vent and just running the hot air into the basement in the winter... I'm not sure how to keep the cold air from getting back into my house.

thanks
