My daughter and son-in-law want to enclose a sreened porch that is on a concrete slab. The porch is screened on 2 sides, with the other 2 sides being the brick veneered exterior walls of the house. The screened long wall faces a carport area that connects to a garage ( like a breezeway. The question is this: when enclosint he 2 screened walls, should they use some kind of sheathing and/or house wrap? The guy at the loacal building supply store said they only need to attach Hardiplank to the existing studs.
That doesn't sound right to me. They will be installing a french door to the yard and some windows as well as air conditioning ducts, so they don't want to create an energy drain. What do you recommend?
