ConfusedWe very badly need new windows in our brick home built in 1980. We have lots of humid and very hot weather. Any suggestions on type, style, brand, what to look for, what not to look for would be invaluable to us. I'm looking forward to all responses. Thanks!

A house will almost always look best when the original window style is retained. My first thought would be Marvin Windows. because they will make custom sizes and will be able to match almost any style. I'm sure there are other manufacturers which will do the same. There are also some excellent vinyl windows, but there are junky ones as well. Be careful if you're considering vinyl windows.
