I have just had my roof reshingled and now the rain is coming off the roof between the roof and the gutters. It didn't do this before with the old roof. My house is vinyl sided with aluminum trim. The rain is pouring out from the trim under the eaves. Is there something the roofer should do? I'm sure the eaves are getting soaked up here in the Northeast with all the rain we've had.
Difficult to understand the problem...why is there space between the roof and the gutters? Or do you mean the water is flowing over but not into the gutters? Maybe the roofer did not extend the bottom course of shingles far enough to form a drip so that the water would flow directly into the gutter without wetting anything else.

There is a space between the bottom of the first row of shingles and the gutter. There wasn't any space before the new roof. Can another row of shingles be added to the bottom row? The roofer is supposed to come by this week to check out our problem. I'd like to tell him what you say about the first course not going out far enough.
