Cast Stone Vs. Natural stone

Why people do not use natural stone for their
wall clading and exterior decoration instead of
cast stone ?

When comparing manmade cast stone products to natural stone, three factors need to be taken into consideration: Luxury,Cost and Durability.

The natural stones including marble,granite, limestone,travertine are more luxurious than cast stone.It's uncorrect to think that the prices of natural stones are certainly higher than cast stone.In fact the prices are the almost same while you import from GHY directly. Meanwhile the durability of natural stones are better than cast stone also.

If one is referring to THIN stone veneer, I'm not sure that some narural stone is more durable than cast stone or man-made stone. I have also seen some man-made stone that is much more lively-looking than natural stone.

I think it is safe to say that some man-made stone is superior to SOME natural stone in all three qualities, luxury, cost and durability. Each application has its own requirements, and the designer in each case must select a product that most exactly meets the clients' needs, and whether the choice is man-made or natural is immaterial.

I agree with Richard. Stone Veneer is usually more vibrant than natural stone. Further it IS a lot cheaper and weighs less. I ran across a website called Stonecasterstudio.com. they sell molds to actually make the veneer yourself. You can make the stones for like $1sqft. To buy it yourself average is $7sqft. I don't think you can beat that with real stone or manufactured stone. Just make it yourself.
