The water bill is high. Had all the toilets and faucets checked and fixed. But still the water bill is high.

We have an automatic sprinkler system. And there was a construction done before around the house which might possibly hit the sprinkler system.

Since the yard is divided into several zones by the sprinkler, how will you know if there are leaks in that particular zone?

Is there a way aside from digging all the sprinkler tubes underneath?

A dowser will save you a lot of needless digging. They are scarce, but try to find one. He or she will pinpoint the location of your leak.

My dad worked in construction, and he had a dowsing ability. He would find the location of underground pipes by using two pieces of welding rod bent into an L shape, with pieces of copper tubing slipped over one leg of each L. He would hold the copper tubing in his hands with the other leg of the L pointing straight ahead of him, and walk over the area where a pipe was located. When he walked directly over the pipe, the two pieces of welding rod swung inward and crossed each other, and he said "dig there". It always worked.

What makes you think the sprinkler is at fault?
Unless the damage was done before the valves that shut off the water to the sprinkler heads the issue is not in the yard. Besides if the water bill is so high it would mean that the ground would be wet and soft.
I suggest that you contact the utility company that supplies the water to your home and ask them to look around and to change your water meter.
