ok so we are going to try to fix up our house to sell the inside is great but the outside not so great well right now we have aluminum siding and it looks fine but just needs a paint job we were wondering for a better chance to sell our house would it be better to paint our aluminum which would be cheaper or spend the money on new vinyl siding?

Do not waste your money on new siding. A fresh coat of paint in the front only should do the trick. You need curb appeal only. Let them ask for the paint if its bad at the home inspection for the rest of the house. Then give them credit to do it themselves.

Spending money on new siding can end up costing you. Color that are used may not be what a future buyer want. If the siding is in good shape other then a few dents etc. Power wash CAREFULLY as metal siding paint can be washed off real quick.

With the market changes as of late, makeing major improvements such as this is not a good idea.

To add to curb appeal.
Clean all windows.
Remove screens and store them away. Unless the screens are new. Old screens tend to darken a room and make home look dirty.
Cut shrubs and branches away from home. Let the light in!
Clean driveway and put fresh coat of sealant on it.
Be sure to rake out leaves in and around the house's flower beds.
Pick up some potted flowers and either plant them or place them around the front door and porch area.
Paint the front door a nice clean color.
Put on a new door knob if the old one is tired.
Same goes with light on front porch. If its tired looking it will reflect on the rest of the house. Clean bright is the way to go.
New welcome mat at front door.

Look at the garage door. Fresh paint always works there as well.

If the roof has stains from mold on it. Get it cleaned. A fresh looking roof always helps.
