I just became the second owner of a home with Milguard window that has been built 4and 1/2 years ago. I was amassed to find out that Milguard windows that are guarantied for life were only warranted for 5 years from the manufactured date to the second owner. The second owner may have 5 years warranty if windows are manufactured in 2000 and 10 years if manufactured after 2005. Unfortunately I thought all along a product that I trusted was under the life time warranty. Are we saying that Milguard Windows made in 2000 to 2005 are bad is that why the guaranty for second owner is only 5 years? I have 12 panes leaking that need replacement and another 34 panes that could fail at anytime and are no longer under warranty as a second owner. Does anyone know if I could get the second owner warranty extended? Milguard reps in Hollister CA were not at all helpful and did not care much to provide any relief. Today they are changing the first set of windows within the 5 years warranty that expired this month. However for the other 34 panes that could fail at any time, I am out of luck. Any suggestions from anyone? Thanks
