Our home's window trim has previously had many portions of the trim boards replaced before painting. I'd like to remove most of what's currently there and install PVC trim.

What's the best way to get the old trim off?

Are there any tricks or things to avoid when installing the new trim?

Can you mix manufacturers?

PVC expands and contracts with temperature to a greater extent than wood. Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully, paying special attention to how to cut the trim to length, and whit what and in what order to nail the pieces in place.
