Hello, I am so totally confused on the color for my front entry door. The front and sides of my home are brick. I have a green roof, wheat (light beige) vinyl siding on the rest of my home. The windows and the full view storm door are trimmed in white. I have dark green shutters. I would like to get a recommendation for the color of the door!
Refer to one of the classical color schemes. You have brick, presumably orangey-red, and green, and a couple of neutrals. My favorite is an analagous color scheme, which means using three colors that are all adjacent on the color wheel. If you can call the brick orange (maybe a small stretch, but I'll bet it's an orangey red), and the roof and shutters are green, there is one color between them on the color wheel, and that is yellow. I'd make the yellow very rich so that there is lots of contrast with the white, and try to keep it in the family of the siding color as well. Done right, it will tie all the colors of your house together quite well, and also call attention to the entrance, which is what you want it to do.
