The previous home owner put plumbing in the basement for a bathroom but never followed through - in an attempt to finish the job I have discovered that the plumbing (toilet & shower) is too close to the exterior concrete wall to stud and drywall. Can i tile directly onto the wall? The problem is that the wall is not smooth - it's almost like you can see each layer of concrete in strips going up the wall. Can anyone advise me?
