Hi,

Just need some advice if possible. I have lived in this 40 year old home for two years and have recently discovered that in the living room and dining room the floors seem to be uneven and bumping in places. There seems to be one bump in the living room and one in the dining room.

I really have no idea the potential problem and am worried there may be structural damage or something worse.

Any help or information would be more than greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!!!

I live in a 60 year old home and besides uneven floors due to house settling, I recently had a bump in floor pointed out to me. It came from water damage which happened about 10 years ago and is repairable. It could be that. You should have someone take a look at it so you won't have to worry.

There's at least 20 differnt things it could be from simple foundation settling, insect damage, fungus, poor footings, spans to long for the load.
No one here is going to be able to do anything but guess at this one. As stated someone there that knows what there doing would have to take a look at it.
Anyone that does house renivations not just new home constrution would be best to call.

Where all stupid, just in different subjects.
