I'm remodling the kitchen in my old "off grade" house.
I'd like to poor a polymer concrete then stain it for my floor.

I bought a self leveling compound, novoplan2 by mapei.

MY question is that some books show using a roofing felt over the plywood... then a metal lath then pouring the compound.
Others show using no roofing felt. Which is right?

any other advice?
