What is the carpet over. Basement, Slab 2nd floor? When you say near bath and bedroom are they in a hall next to these rooms? Need more info. What color is the carpet? What type of carpet is it? Do you have any animals? Did you use any store bought cleaners on the carpet yourself in the past before the stains appeared?

This is on 2nd floor. We have carpet below the Bathroom washbasins (No Tiles). The Brown spots are all over the wash areas and we see lot of them in the Master Bedroom entrance from Bath areas also. We went on a vacation for 3 weeks. When we came back, we started seeing this. We called 2 professional Crapet cleaners and they came and tried removing it and they couldn't. They said they don't know what it is. Carpet is regular light brown color. No animals. We haven't used any crapet cleaning products before.

Thanks

Just a thought - perhaps someone may have dripped something (like cologne/perfume) while traveling from the bath to the bedroom - maybe during the course of packing for your vacation? This would take a good day to show up as a stain/bleached area in your carpeting. If this is the case, there is no remedy as far as cleaning/removal - the damage is permanant. Perhaps you can try some RIT dye and color it back to what it was - it does come in several brown hues.

I assume the spots are dry? If not you could be seeing the results of mold growth from dampness.
The carpet may have been stained by something either dropped on the carpet i.e. cleaning chemicals, perfume etc. Perhaps air fresheners used to stop smells?
How old is the carpet? Is it original to the house and are you the original owner when the carpet was installed? I have seen sellers
dye stained carpets to hide problem areas. Your wet feet from the bath area to the bedroom may be causing the dye to wash off? Just a thought.

If its a good carpet otherwise you could always steal a piece from under the closet or below the bed and trade the stained spots with the good ones. Have a carpet repair person do this for you.

dye stained

Spots are dry. Carpet is 13 yeras old. Probably original owner might have dyed it. I bought it 2 years back. May be it is going away and revealing the stains.

I also remember, we called a house cleaners. They vacumed all. Before they left, they sparyed some kind of air freshners all over. After 2 weeks of that, stains started appearing. So, may be the air freshner....

Thanks for all your feedback.

I have scheduled ChemDry Professionals to come and take a look at it. If they also cannot remove it, then I have look into changing the carpet.

Strongly suggest you stay away from Chem dry and any other cleaning company that uses chemicals like this for cleaning. It simply does not work and is no better then you using a powder cleaner you get at a store and use with your vacuum. Carpet that is that old quite frankly is contamnated with all kinds of dust mites and mold spores and should be replaced.
If any person in your home is suffering from allergies the carpet could be the problem.
If the carpet is staind or bleached in any way forget about cleaning it as it will not work.
Replace the carpet.
If your concerned about your health as well. Pick up the book called My House Is Killing Me
written by Jeffrey May. It will give you all kinds of helpfull info about carpets and other indoor air concerns.
