We are doing an extensive remodel and moving some walls. The old tile which covers about 50% of the home has been discontinued and none is available. We have removed some of the old tile by cracking it with a hammer and then chiseling out the mortar. Very time consuming. Any sugestions of a better way to remove the old tile

Go to a rental center. Get a small electric demo hammer with a wide flat blade. It is not a a fun job to do. But its the best way. Wear eye protection as well as heavy gloves the shards of tile will be sharp and fly all over the place while removing the tile.

Thanks so much. We will give that a try. I already know it's not a fun job and very, very messy. At this point we will give anything a try that might speed thing up a bit. Thanks again.
