I recently had an insulation company perform an evaluation of my home. They recommened removing the existing rock wool insulation, which is anywhere from 2 to 4 inches in a 25 X 30 attic. They stated they would mail me the quote. Out of curiosity, does anyone know how much I should be expecting to pay for this or what a fair price for that would be. I kind of assumed that they would recommend using cellulose over the existing insulation. I'm really not looking to pay more than 3K for this . I'm not planning on being in my home for more than 5 years, so I don't think I could get the return on this investment. Thanks.
