I am going to refinish the basement and I would like to know which type of insulation is better keeping in the warmth. The foundation is above ground and is made of Masonry Block w/ Empty Cells and the house has an air exchange system.

1. My options are Spray foam (Icynene), fiberglass batts, and ICF if it can be sprayed onto the blocks.

2. Does anyone know the price per square foot for spray foam vs ICF?

Thank you in advance for the feedback it is greatly appreciated

ICFs are a building systen that is used to form and insulate new concrete walls. It is not a "after-thought" or remodeling product. Applying rigid foam your be the closest method for finishing.

In a basement, I would avoid fiberglass because of the ability to hold moisture and not dry out unless it is removed.
