Do they exist? Trying to find a solution for adding a flush toilet to a waterfront cottage. No public sewer or room for a traditional septic system. Cottage currently has composting toilets so bank considers it seasonal & will only do a mortgage w/ 30% down & 1% higher interest rate.

Any & all ideas, suggestions, recommendations, etc. appreciated. Thanks.

Don't know about holding tanks, but do know about banks. Shop around, you may find a much better deal.

I guess if you have room for it to be above ground, then there should be room to bury it and be code compliant (I'm assuming it's against code to have to above ground since it is here). You'd just have to have it pumped periodically.

Septic systems in many parts of the country require a fair amount of real estate to install septic. So your out of luck installing one of those.
A septic engineer located in your area should be able to assist you with solutions to your disposal issues. But a water front cottage is seasonal in most cases and that is why they rule that way.

But as Richard said, many banks out there to choose from. Keep shopping you will find one that works for you.
