Hi all
I'm looking for help with one of my toilets.
Sometimes, most often not, it will flush fine, but most often it takes 2 or more flushes to get everything to go down.
There's plenty of water in the tank, but just doesn't seem to get the spin going till the water is just about done.
I've s***** it, tried draino and the problem just remains the same.
Like I said sometimes, it works perfectly.
thanks
Stan

Cheep toilet. This happens all the time. You will find with the low fluh toilets you will not get the "spin" as much as the older large tank ones. The spinning caused by living in Northen hemisphere happens on toilets and drains because the water is in tank or drain long enough to cause it to turn. The great thing is it helps clean the bowl as it does.
New toilets rely on the quick flow of the water entering the bowl to clean and flush. Often the fast flush does not allow the water to spin as its goes down.
Regardless, its a cheep toilet. The trap inside is small, and the flush valve in tank is small. The result is water is not entering the bowl with enough speed to flush it down. Better toilets (not those sold in big box stores off shelf unless special ordered) have much larger flush valves and better constructed traps with the bowl area. The result better flushing.

In my back shop I've got 5 or 6 of the old 5 gallon toilets that we've pulled out of remodels. They're going to be worth a fortune someday.... Wink
